The PASCAL IMPACT Program is a partnership with Rising Academies and KOSSA supporting education, sport and youth development in Sierra Leone. It invites PASCAL customers to make an optional contribution and follow the progress created through our collective support.
PASCAL believes brilliance is not just found in diamonds. It lives in people: in their resilience, strength, creativity, and potential.
Sierra Leone has been deeply affected by the history of conflict diamonds, but it is not defined by that history alone. Through our partnership with Rising Academies and KOSSA, we want to support a different diamond story: one that recognizes human brilliance, celebrates African talent, and helps young people build the confidence, skills, and opportunities to let that brilliance shine.
Rising Academies is an education organization founded in Sierra Leone that works with schools and governments to strengthen teaching and improve student learning. KOSSA uses after-school soccer programs and sports academies to help young people develop their skills, confidence, and potential in safe, supportive environments. Both partners have experience delivering programs in Sierra Leone and across Africa.
Contributions will support approved education and youth development activities delivered through Rising Academies and KOSSA. Specific programs, locations, and outcomes will be shared through PASCAL IMPACT Stories as funds are deployed.
No. Contributions are entirely voluntary and are separate from your PASCAL purchase. Choosing not to contribute will not affect your order or customer experience.
Contributions are collected by PASCAL on behalf of the program. When making a contribution, you can choose to support either Rising Academies or KOSSA. PASCAL records your selection and transfers the funds to the organization you choose in accordance with the partnership’s agreed payment and reporting process.
Payment-processing fees may be deducted before funds are transferred to our program partners. PASCAL does not retain the remaining contribution as revenue.
No. Contributions made through PASCAL are collected by PASCAL and are not made directly to a qualified U.S. tax-exempt charitable organization. They are therefore not tax-deductible as charitable contributions for U.S. federal income tax purposes. Please consult your tax adviser regarding your individual circumstances.
You will receive a confirmation of your contribution. However, this confirmation is not a charitable tax receipt and cannot be used to claim a U.S. federal charitable contribution deduction.
PASCAL will work with Rising Academies and KOSSA to publish partner-approved IMPACT Stories as agreed funding milestones are reached. These updates may include program information, photographs, videos, and documented outcomes showing how collective contributions have been used.
Yes. You can choose to support either Rising Academies or KOSSA when making your contribution. The full contribution, less any applicable payment-processing fees, will be allocated to the organization you select.
PASCAL will not share your personal information with our program partners unless you have given permission or the disclosure is required to process or report your contribution. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information.
